Flu shot clinics

Kno-Wal-Lin Home Care and Hospice has announced its schedule for public flu clinics. Clinics start on Friday, Oct. 10, and continue through early December at various locations in Knox, Waldo and Lincoln counties. See clinic details & schedule.

For the third consecutive year, Kno-Wal-Lin Home Care and Hospice has been named to the 2008 HomeCare Elite, a compilation of the most successful Medicare-certified home healthcare providers in the United States. Kno-Wal-Lin volunteer Claire Coffey of Owls Head was honored recently in a statehouse ceremony where she was named Home Care Volunteer of the Year by the Maine Home Care and Hospice Alliance.  Read more now.

Sherry Quimby, CNA, of Waldoboro was awarded the 2008 Excellence in Long Term Care Award at the Blaine House in Augusta on Sept. 24. Quimby, a Kno-Wal-Lin Home Health Aide, was recognized for providing extraordinary care, attention to consumer rights and leadership among her peers by the Maine Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program. Our home care program provides skilled home health care including professional nursing services; physical, occupational and speech therapy; social work services; home health aides, certified nursing assistants, personal care assistants, companion homemakers, and visiting and auxiliary volunteers.

Our hospice team helps patients and families experience comfort, peace, and enhanced quality of life during life's final transition. The staff is also pleased to provide our community with a private duty program that offers assistance with daily activities.

KWL is proud to announce we will begin construction of a Hospice House in Rockland, Maine. This exciting project will expand the high quality end of life care services already provided by the KWL Hospice Program. 

Our staff provide care seven days per week, 365 days per year, with professional staff available 24 hours a day through our on call system. We are ready to help you assess unexpected needs that may arise outside of usual business hours.
